Assia was born in France in 1988. Until 2011, she staid in her hometown near Paris. She then moved to the City of Lights (Paris) to start her studies at the university.

During several months in 2012, she performed an internship in the chemical architecture group at the University Pierre et Marie Curie. Under the supervision of Dr. J. Moussa, she worked on the synthesis and characterization of new luminescent Platinum-Carbene-Triphenylphosphine complexes.

In 2013, she passed her Bsc degree in biomedical sciences at the University Paris Descartes with a major in Chemistry and Biochemistry.

She is currently enrolled in the Master program “Frontiers in Chemistry” at the same University. As part of her Master, she joined the Gasser group where she is presently working on the preparation of novel ligands useful in medicine.

In her spare time, Assia likes creating jewellery, sewing and making beauty products for her whole family. She also enjoys hiking and playing board games with her friends. Recently, she has started photography in black and white with a film camera.
