Lara Wild was born in Basel, Switzerland, and completed her Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry at the University of Basel in 2022. She then moved to Paris for a 5-month internship in the Gasser Group, where she focused on bioinorganic chemistry and worked on the synthesis of fluorescent coumarins. Lara continued her studies at the University of Geneva, earning her Master’s degree in 2024, during which she completed her thesis in the Rickhaus Lab, synthesising a building block for 2D materials. In 2025, Lara returned to the Gasser Group to start her PhD. Outside of the lab, Lara enjoys playing the violin, horse riding, hiking, and skiing.
